Aimed at SEND professionals from all further education providers in the South West.
The South West Network is an opportunity for those with SEND responsibilities, both Natspec members and non-members, to meet up and share good and outstanding practice irrespective of organisation type or size.
The autumn network is hosted by Cornwall College, and will focus on helping young people 16-24 make that vital step into employment. Supported Internships are structured study programmes, with most of the programme being based with an employer. They enable young people aged 16 to 24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan to achieve sustainable employment, through learning in the workplace. Supported internships are unpaid, last a minimum of six months, and as well as time in the workplace, the young person follows a personalised programme including, if appropriate, English, maths, and relevant qualifications. This workshop is aimed at SEND practitioners and managers designing and working with study programmes.
This event is part of a series of events as part of our South West Regional Network offer to find out more and how you can join please contact Rosemarie D’Ambrosio-Winter the Natspec South West Co-ordinator rosemarie.dambrosio@natspec.org.uk
