The Mount Camphill Community successfully supports young people with a range of learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties within a vibrant, yet peaceful, rural environment. The supportive community setting offers shared living which encourages students to work towards their potential in all aspects of their lives.
A full-time residential or day curriculum including crafts, arts, work experience, life skills, movement, drama, cooking, baking, gardening, maths and English. Individualised study programmes are created to support students to reach their aspirations as captured in their EHC plan towards future living and working.
The currciulum offers accredited learning opportunities via Pearson Skills for Life units, BTEC Cookery courses and Edexcel qulaifications in English and maths. All students have the opportunity to participate in internal and external work experience developing skills in prepartion for future employment or supported employment.
The Mount Camphill Community is proud of its beautiful extensive grounds which include excellent workshop facilities. We have a wood workshop, weavery, bakery, pottery, training kitchen, sports hall, green woodwork area, classrooms, forge and organic vegetable garden. We also have specialist therapists including Speech & Language Therapist, Eurythmy Therapist, Massage Therapist, Bothmer Gym Therapist.
