Natspec organises a number of networks, some specifically for members of staff at specialist colleges, others based on an aspect of provision that are open to staff in member and affiliate colleges. We welcome any member of staff at our colleges to join the networks that are relevant to them.

On each network page you will find information about how to join the network, upcoming dates for meetings, and resources.

Member-only networks

These networks are specifically for staff working in specialist colleges that are members of Natspec.

Admissions network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are responsible for admissions.

Care network

This network is for staff in member colleges who work in care roles.

Careers leaders network

This network is for staff in member colleges who lead on Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG).

Data and MIS network

This network is for staff who manage data and management information systems in their college.

Employment network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are involved with providing employment opportunities to students.

Finance managers network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are responsible for finance and business matters.

Fundraisers network

This network is for fundraising staff who work in member colleges or the college’s parent organisation.

Governance professionals network

This network is for staff in member colleges responsible for governance matters.

HR network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are responsible for HR functions including recruitment, retention, HR policies, staff welfare, managing absence, redundancies and restructuring.

Nurses network

This network is for nurses in member colleges

Publicity officers network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are responsible for any matters concerning publicity, marketing or communications.

Quality network

This network is for staff in member colleges who work in quality roles.

Safeguarding network

This network is for staff in member colleges who are Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and others with safeguarding responsibilities.

Transition out network

This network is aimed at staff in member colleges who are involved in the transition process from college towards their onward destination.

Member and affiliate networks

These networks are for members and affiliates working within specialist provision, which may happen in a specialist or mainstream FE college.

Autism network

This network is for staff from Natspec colleges to meet and discuss their work with autistic learners, share ideas, recommendations for training and compare experiences.

Learner voice network

This network is open to all staff in member colleges with an interest in any aspect of learner voice work.

PMLD network

This network is for staff in member colleges who work with students with PMLD aged 16-25.

Sensory impairment network

This online network is for staff from Natspec member colleges who are specialist sensory impairment teachers or in a role that involves supporting learners with sensory impairments.

TechAbility Champions

TechAbility champions are members of Natspec and Karten organisations who have committed to making a difference to their organisation's Assistive Technology provision.
