Data and MIS network

This network is aimed at staff in member colleges who manage data and management information systems within their college. These meetings provide an opportunity for staff across our membership to discuss hot topics, swap ideas and share good practice.

Topics discussed may include:

  • the completion of the ILR and other ESFA data returns, including the workforce survey
  • comparing and contrasting MIS software and suppliers
  • the important of ensuring good communication links between staff responsible for data recording and reporting, and those responsible for quality, curriculum planning and implementation.

Network meetings usually take place on Zoom, approximately three times per year. If you would like to join the network, just turn up to one of the meetings. Outside of the network meetings, colleagues can ask questions and access support via our  ILR/MIS and data discussion forum.

This network is hosted by Fil McIntyre, TechAbility Manager. If you have suggestions for any topics you’d like to see covered in future networks, please email fil.mcintyre@natspec.org.uk

Please check our Natspec networks page for details about all of our other networks.
