This network is aimed at staff in member colleges who are responsible for supporting and advising college governors, organising governing body meetings and ensuring the correct processes, policies and governance documentation for their college. Not every specialist college employs a professional clerk to the governors or senior governance professional, but every Natspec member should have appropriate governance procedures. This network compares approaches to supporting and advising governors, and gives you an opportunity to share practice and discuss what constitutes good governance in specialist colleges.
Networks are usually held online, approximately three times per year. If you would like to join the network, just turn up to one of the meetings.
There are some resources, example JDs and role descriptors, and templates on the member SharePoint site for college governance. Natspec members can access this folder using the link below.
College governance member areaThis network is hosted by David Welch, CEO of Green Corridor. If you have suggestions for any topics you’d like to see covered in future networks, please email david.welch@greencorridor.org.uk
