New to the ILR? Getting it right first time

This training only covers ILR data returns for students funded under the 16-19 funding formula and high need funding system, including those aged 19+ with EHCPs. The training is therefore aimed primarily at specialist providers working with high needs students, not other providers who attract adult education or apprenticeship funding.

Are you new to the ILR? Would you like a back-to-basics refresher? This session will help you to understand funding in your organisation, to make sense of DfE funding and policy guidance, ILR specifications, business rules and checking for data errors. This workshop covers the input and timing requirements, explores common mistakes, and gives advice on methods to analyse and correct those issues. You will learn some top tips, and be able to question our data specialists and interact with colleagues to get questions answered.

This training is aimed at staff who have little or no experience of creating or returning Individual Learner Records (ILR) and require an introduction to the basics. The session will also cover how to return files, including when and what needs to be returned.

If you have some experience of the ILR, you may be interested in our ILR in Practice course. All dates available on our ILR resources page.
