Leading quality improvement in specialist provision

Content

Delivered over the academic year, this five session programme is designed for leaders, senior managers and managers with responsibility for quality in specialist colleges and provision.

Each session explores a different key aspect of quality – leadership and governance, inclusion in practice, curriculum and learner progress, a whole college approach to learning support, and quality of teaching and learning.

Each session will focus on a standalone theme and can be booked individually, giving organisations the flexibility to involve different leaders and managers across the programme. Attending all five sessions will provide a comprehensive overview of quality at whole provision level.

Participants will receive access to a Padlet of resources, self-assessment and planning tools.

Overall programme outcomes

Participants will:

  • reflect on ‘what we do’, ‘why we do it’ and ‘how do we know it makes a difference’ in your own context
  • explore how strategic oversight supports high-quality experiences and improved outcomes for learners
  • identify quality priorities relevant to your context and learners
  • develop a practical quality improvement plan.
