The Orpheus Centre is a vibrant Independent Specialist college for young disabled adults who have a passion for the arts and a desire to live independently. Situated in the Surrey countryside you will be joining a passionate and motivated Learning Team. We are currently seeking an experienced Maths Tutor to join our learning team to develop and teach Functional Skills Maths. An enthusiastic tutor experienced in working with people who have a range of physical and learning disabilities, you will be joining a passionate team of staff and students.
- Degree in Maths or a related subject or equivalent
- Teaching qualifications e.g. DTLLS at level 5 or PGCE or equivalent
- Recent experience of teaching Maths skills in a school, college or to adults
- Passion for teaching and learning
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills
- Experience of multidisciplinary working
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation and students
Permanent Part-Time; 14 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday)
52 week contract with 9.2 weeks holiday to be taken out of term time
Salary £10,458.00 per annum (FTE £26,145.00)
