General Description

General Description of College:
A specialist residential college for students aged 16+ with Asperger’s syndrome, autism, social and communication difficulties and other co-morbid conditions. We offer 38-week residential and day placements for learners. Accommodation is across of number of properties in the local community (all of the main college sites are within 15 minutes walk). These afford opportunities to develop independence and social skills within real life settings.


The Curriculum:
Working with various partnerships we offer a bespoke and flexible curriculum including courses in mainstream partner settings as well as ‘in-house’ courses. Students can also follow a more vocational route gaining qualifications as part of a work placement. Our team of staff support students to access their learning environment as well as helping with general organization and planning skills.

Specialist Facilities

Specialist Facilities:
We work closely and in partnership with parents. Each student has a nominated keyworker who acts as a mentor and maintains close contact with the home setting. General life skills are part of a blended curriculum and are developed through a variety of activities. We offer collaborative therapy programmes including speech and language, counselling, CBT, creative therapy and psychology.
