A twenty four hour curriculum and Total Communication ethos ensures care and education staff  work closely together to progress skills for life and work.  Students have a breadth of learning difficulties and disabilities including Down's Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Global Development Delay and Autism. The college is accredited by the National Autisitc Society and provides specialist therapeutic support to support young people in meeting the challenges autism can bring.

Curriculum

Each student follows a personalised learning programme according to their own abilities, needs and aspirations. We currently offer two formal programmes called the Education Foundation programme and the Trainee programme. Learning pathways on the education programme include land-based studies, hospitality, retail  and craft. Accredited essential skills and personal development and citizenship learning also form part of weekly timetables. The college’s Trainee programme provides a natural stepping stone from the education programme for those for whom a recognition has been made that the progress made on the education progamme evidences how the college's therapeutic environment is conducive to the on-going development of knowledge and skills.
