VAT on fees – Natspec response to Treasury

This session is for finance managers, Heads of College and any other staff who may be involved in setting fees and charging local authorities. The government consultation on applying VAT to Private School fees includes a question about the definition of a private school. Natspec has been meeting with Treasury officials about the implications of specialist colleges being included within the policy. At this session, Clare Howard will take member colleges through the proposed Natspec response to the consultation, and members will have the opportunity to contribute views on the pros and cons of potentially having to charge VAT on education fees. The consultation closes on 15 September.
