This event is run as part of the ETF’s Centres for Excellence in SEND programme.

As part of the Community of Practice: Effective strategies to manage communication and behaviours positively this free session, facilitated by Natspec, will focus on the outcomes from an EHCP and how practitioners can be supported to provide progression to adulthood and how this looks and feels for young adults with complex lived experiences.

Who is this for?

This Community of Practice will be of interest to a variety of people with many role jobs from practitioners to leaders in SEND.

Training aim

This webinar is designed to cover:

  • the outcomes from an EHCP and how practitioners can be supported to provide progression to adulthood
  • how this looks and feels for young adults with complex lived experiences
  • discuss shared approaches
  • provide opportunities to hear from providers who use different tools and approaches.

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Strategies to help bring a purpose and function to education for young people who may be disengaged form learning.
  • A better understanding of the support available through social care to provide a holistic transition to an effective adult life for learners.
