Now in its 12th year, Seashell Trust will once again be running their Inter-College Sports Day in partnership with Natspec Games 2023, bringing together colleges from across the North West for a day of sport including javelin, shotput, boccia, hurdles and slaloms, and other sporting activities.
This year, Seashell would like to promote and celebrate not only young people’s sporting skills, but other skills too, such as confidence, sportsmanship, commitment, and teamwork. Additional awards will be given to teams and individuals who can demonstrate these skills during the event. Part of this begins at college before the event, and we invite you to support your young people to prepare for the games by exploring the country they represent, creating banners and flags, team chants and dressing to impress in their country colours!
This year, in contrast to previous years, the event will be free to all participants. Awards and certificates will be provided by Seashell Trust but colleges will need to bring their own lunches. Seashell are keen to provide a fully inclusive environment; there will be facilities for personal care and a designated area for those that might need to administer medication. There will also be areas available for any students who require support with eating or a quiet space.
Register for your places
In order to register to participate, Seashell ask that a lead coordinator from each college sets up an account on their online booking system, and then add the students who will be attending. They have created a help guide for you to consult if required. Once this is set up, you can complete the booking form. This must be done by Friday 28 April in order to secure your places.
Due to high demand, colleges will be limited to seven participants per college. Participants must be over the age of 16. This is to ensure all athletes can participate and experience each discipline on offer. If some colleges do not take up all of their places, we will give others further opportunity to book more young people onto the event.
If you have any further queries, or any issues booking your places, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 0161 696 9386.
Natspec are also re-running our Virtual Games Week this year from 5 – 9 June, this year supported by Sense Active! Current information can be found on our events page, with more information to be added shortly!
