ZoomThis Natspec-run session will provide learning input about the use and impact of trauma informed practice. It will also offer an opportunity for professionals to support each other to share strategies and experiences in a confidential space to build confidence in practitioner practice.
Who is this for?
The session is for teachers and practitioners in the FE and skills sector and learning support staff.
Training aim
This session, facilitated by Natspec, will identify what trauma informed practice includes; identify communication and circumstances that may prove challenging in a busy classroom environment and inform practitioners about both practical strategies and how to build trusting relationships with young people.
Outcomes
- Recognise how trauma and attachment experiences can influence learner behaviour, emotional regulation, engagement, and achievement in further education settings.
- Apply practical trauma-informed and attachment-aware strategies to create safe, supportive learning environments that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive student outcomes.
