The Natspec Publicity Officers Network is a free networking forum for all members of staff responsible for communications, marketing and publicity at Natspec colleges.

What’s happening?

How does a specialist further education institution determine which organisations, groups and individuals matter most? How can it understand what those groups want? And resolve tensions when their needs are in conflict?

Ben Verinder will lead a session intended to help Natspec members improve their understanding of their stakeholders – who they are, their influence and interest and their needs. The session will include best practice models, practical exercises and extensive reference to real-life case studies.

Ben is managing director of Chalkstream, an agency specialising in reputation research and management, primarily to the education sector. Ben is one of 50 Founding Chartered public relations practitioners in the world and a lead assessor of Chartered PR status in the UK, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and judge on several PR and education awards. He has advised boards, senior leadership teams and marketing and communication colleagues on stakeholder segmentation and research for over 20 years.

The network will also include a general Natspec Publicity update as well as a short session from Lorna Phillips from New College Worcester about how they’ve moved their open days and student recruitment online in the pandemic.
