SEND Tribunal: what to expect at tribunal hearings

Do you or staff at your college need to prepare for and attend SEND tribunals? Are you aware of the process and do you know how you can best prepare? Barrister and Partner at VWV Miriam Carrion Benitez and Nicola Tarmey (Associate) will lead this webinar, giving expert information about issues such as an outline of the process, including consultations, timescales, preparing an effective witness statement, what to expect at the hearing, how to ensure the young person’s voice is heard, and more. There will also be time during the session for colleges to share their own experience from attending hearings and ask questions. Nb. The talk will focus on SEN appeals and will not touch on disability discrimination claims.
