Following on from our popular webinar from last term, this is an opportunity for colleges to consider how to use person-centred tools to find out what students need right now.
This webinar, presented by Natspec Associate Franki Williams, will demonstrate how staff can use a series of person-centred questions in conversations to explore what is important to the student at this present time and what is important for them to remain well, safe and supported. The conversations may be with new students, those returning to college or students entering a transition year. It is suitable for staff who want to further develop their use of person-centred tools and for those who are new to this and want to find out how to get started.
Using person-centred tools can support staff to keep the student at the centre of planning and ensure what is really meaningful to them is not lost at this time of change and unpredictability. Students may only just be beginning to process their experience of lockdown and changes to their routines and the return to college may be both welcome and challenging for some young people.
As students return to education, how can providers ensure they provide opportunities for learners to share their lockdown experience and get back to preparing for a successful future? Person-centred tools offer an approach to discussing what might have changed for a person and what good support looks like now they are back in education.
