Natspec principals forum

This free, members-only event is designed specifically for principals of Natspec member organisations, or their designated senior representatives. We encourage all Natspec members to book a place. This event is an opportunity to access peer support, discuss leadership challenges, get the latest information about the national context and consider the future direction of the sector.

We can accommodate a second attendee from the same member college which will be charged at £90+vat.

Programme

The full agenda will be published shortly but a draft outline of the day is as follows:

Morning:

• Networking, followed by session on identity / place of specialist FE within a changing political context. What does the new govt’s vision for inclusion mean for our colleges?
• Policy session. An update on national policy, who we are lobbying and what we are asking for on a variety of topics across curriculum, funding, inspection and SEND national strategy.
• An overview of support services to support your quality of provision
• Post-16 transport: Natspec’s research and action to address the issues

Afternoon:

• Further networking session / reflection on the morning
• Re-thinking SEND in FE – with input from AoC, a session to explore the opportunities for partnerships between GFE and specialist colleges, joint lobbying
• Promoting your college and the new Natspec college pages and search function
• Updates from other areas: HR, Employment, Care, Finance, publicity and more

If you are travelling by train, the nearest train stations are Coventry Railway Station and Bedworth Railway Station.

If you are travelling by car, DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry is located just off M6 at junction 2 at Paradise Way, Walsgrave Triangle CV2 2ST. Self parking is £6.00 per day on site.
