Training aim
This training will explore will explore how sensory processing needs can affect neurodivergent learners. It will provide strategies to support sensory integration through environmental adaptations and teaching practice along with case studies that demonstrate practical ways to meet learner’s needs and maximise their opportunities for learning.
Outcomes
- Explore what sensory processing and sensory ‘overload’ means for neurodivergent learners.
- Hear about strategies to support learners with sensory integration and how to avoid sensory ‘overload’.
- Develop an understanding of a neuro-affirming approach to meeting learner’s sensory needs.
