This event is run as part of the ETF’s Centres for Excellence in SEND programme.

This session, facilitated by Natspec, will focus on how to identify progress and achievement from a learner’s starting point.

Who is this for?

The session is for a variety of people with many role jobs from SEND leaders and managers to curriculum leaders, transition managers, learning support managers and their teams as well as teaching staff and therapists.

Training aim

This training will generate discussion on how to identify progress made from a learner’s starting point. It will recognise how we determine where a learner is in their learning life when they join us and how we can set effective and achievable progress targets. The session will provide strategies for effectively recognising and recording progress.

Outcomes

The aim of the training is to:

  • Identify effective methods of recognising a learner’s starting point and how to set achievable targets
  • Identify methods of recording progress and achievement
