This event is run as part of the ETF’s Centres for Excellence in SEND programme.

As part of the Community of Practice: Effective strategies to manage communication and behaviours positively this free session, facilitated by Natspec, will identify how ACES and the lived experience of the young person will impact on their ability to engage in learning.

Who is this for?

This Community of Practice will be of interest to a variety of people with many role jobs from practitioners to leaders in SEND.

Training aim

This webinar is designed to cover:

  • identify how ACES and the lived experience of the young person will impact on their ability to engage in learning
  • discuss shared approaches
  • provide opportunities to hear from providers who use different tools and approaches.

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have:

  • A clearer understanding of relational practices and how to support young people with a range of adverse lived experiences.
  • Identified practices to best utilise the experiences of young people outside the classroom to support learning.
