This event is run as part of the ETF’s Centres for Excellence in SEND programme.

This session, facilitated by Natspec, will explore a range of delivery methods to ensure learners with SEND develop effective and appropriate work-related skills. It will highlight examples of best practice in order to secure positive destination outcomes into paid or voluntary work.

Who is this for?

This training is intended for tutors, middle managers and work experience co-ordinators who support learners with SEND to develop effective work-related skills through theory or practical approaches.

Training aim

This training is intended to consider whether current practice is supporting learners with SEND sufficiently well to develop their work-related skills and are likely to bring about positive destination outcomes.

Outcomes

You will have the knowledge and confidence to:

  • apply new initiatives in terms of curriculum design to ensure learners with SEND develop appropriate work-related skills,
  • build basic business acumen,
  • secure positive destinations outcomes into paid or voluntary employment.
