This event is run as part of the ETF’s Centres for Excellence in SEND programme.

As part of the Community of Practice: Effective strategies to manage communication and behaviours positively this free session, facilitated by Natspec, will offer opportunities for participants to share anonymised concerns they have about specific communication needs within their complex cohorts and discuss with other professionals.

Who is this for?

This Community of Practice will be of interest to a variety of people with many role jobs from practitioners to leaders in SEND.

Training aim

This webinar is designed to cover:

  • share anonymised concerns about specific communication needs within their complex cohorts
  • discuss shared approaches
  • provide opportunities to hear from providers who use different tools and approaches.

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Been given a clearer understanding of strategies that support young people demonstrating behaviours within the red zone of ‘zones of regulation’.
  • Understand how to support young people who are demonstrating dysregulation.
