General Description
Stratford Lodge was set up to offer further educational opportunities beyond Key Stage 4 for students unable to access mainstream education independently after completion of their compulsory schooling. Our aim is to enable students to access a local college to gain nationally recognised qualifications and at the same time we encourage them to become more independent and take greater responsibility for their own actions and decisions. Our location in Salisbury, allows us ready access to a cathedral city, where essential living skills can be developed – travel training, community awareness, work experience and sport and leisure activities.
Curriculum
Stratford Lodge offers consistent learning opportunities throughout the whole day. The ‘waking day’ Curriculum provides these opportunities and experiences from waking time to settling down time so students can develop and adapt to life in the outside world. This includes Vocational & Education training, Individual & Social Skills Training and Live Skills & Independency. Vocational opportunities, work experience, careers education and guidance, and mainstream college access are a strong element of post-16 provision.
Specialist Facilities
We offer an ASD therapeutic environment providing Psychology, Speech and Language therapies and Occupational therapy.
