General Description
Farleigh Further Education College Frome is a specialist residential and day College provision for young people with Asperger's syndrome, high functioning autism, social and communication difficulties and associated conditions.
Curriculum
We offer a broad, flexible curriculum of academic, vocational and/or employability skills to meet the needs of all students, including those who have high academic potential, as well as those who may have found it difficult to engage in education historically.
Specialist Facilities
The College has an onsite therapeutic team inclusive of Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Counsellors and Assistant Psychologist. Speech and Language programmes as well as therapeutic interventions are embedded within the College's academic, independence and social programme, with further support being provided in one to one group sessions.
After a recent multi-million pound investment, the College now has sector leading residential accommodation within the local community, including semi-independent living flats which provide opportunities for developing independence and social skills so that our students are effectively prepared for adulthood.
'Students enjoy their residential experience, forming positive relationships with the staff and making friends. Students receivbe sensitive support to embrace new opportunities to support their progress socially, emotionally and with their learning'.
