Activate are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal of Quality & Development to join our existing senior management team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with all aspects of SEN education at management level whilst also have a pro-active manner in order to influence college strategy in both taking the college forward towards ‘outstanding’ and to develop the future business offer. They will need to be articulate, collaborative and have a proven track record of managing a diverse and varied workload.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who is enthusiastic about both raising aspirations through SEN education and quality processes. You should lead by example and motivate staff through innovation and qualitative line management.
Activate is a registered Charity which was founded in 2005. We specialise in working with individuals who have a disability, those at risk of disengaging with education or those no longer in education, employment or training. We are a Good independent specialist provider of Further Education programmes within the Merseyside region.
Our further education programmes for 19-25 year olds with learning difficulties and or disabilities are entirely person centred. We offer a personalised curriculum for each student on program.
Our aim as an organisation is to provide ground breaking education programmes which help young people with disabilities to develop skills in order to build confidence, develop employment skills and encourage independence within the local community.
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)

SALARY: £30,000 – £35,880
HOURS: 37.5 Monday – Friday
