Specialist FE quality health check

Whether you are new to post-16 or post-19 specialist FE or have been operating in the sector for some time, the Natspec specialist FE quality health check is a great way to reflect on the quality and effectiveness of your provision.

Working with an experienced Natspec associate, you will have the chance to consider what you already have in place and what your next steps might be in a number of key areas such as:

  • the curriculum including preparing for adulthood
  • staffing including staff development
  • quality systems including the role of governance
  • safeguarding including Prevent

How does the quality health check work?

Simply contact us to let us know that you are interested in a quality health check. Or if you are a new Natspec member, we will discuss the health check with you when you join. We will put you in touch with one of our associates who will arrange to visit you. Together you will plan a schedule for the day that will enable you to discuss your progress to date. You can work with the associate to put specific emphasis on particular aspects of your provision, but we strongly recommend that you cover all the key health check areas.

The associate will spend two days with you and write up a report for you, setting out an accurate description of your current position and offering advice on the next steps you might take.

Costs

£1,000 + VAT and expenses, included in your first-year membership (or payable as a one-off fee for established members or non-members).

Subsequent one-day progress checks are also available for a fee of £500 + VAT and expenses.
