The Prevent duty is a key strand of the Government’s counter-terrorism strategy. FE staff who work with SEND students are required to deliver the Prevent duty and embed fundamental British values, but sometimes require specific strategies and tools which are appropriate for this cohort.
This conference will provide delegates with practical help and guidance, sharing a variety of tools, resources and materials from different colleges.
Speakers include Prevent lead officers from the Education and Training Foundation and DfE, and also advice on web filtering and web monitoring from Jisc.
Workshops will be delivered by practitioners, with specific focus on different groups of SEND learners.

Price: £100.00 plus VAT for non members / £50.00 plus VAT for Natspec members
We will send you an e-mail confirmation and joining instructions, including a venue map approximately one week before the event.
Please notify us in writing if you wish to make any amendments to your booking, to make a substitution or a cancellation.
Cancellations can be accepted without charge up to 5 days prior to the event, after this time full event fees will apply.
Natspec reserves the right to cancel or alter the course for reasons beyond its control.
